About Us 

Our mission is to unite our members in fellowship around our common interest in the equine. Our focus is on education both within our group and within our community, with particular attention to the improvement of horsemanship achieved through humane care and training. We further exist to promote and encourage equine events, shows, and circuits at our facility and within the state of Kansas, all to the benefit and betterment of Chanute and the surrounding communities.

Jarrett Ehmke-

  • Is the 17 years old. He is a Senior at Chanute High School. He has participated in cross country, baseball and is a current member of Chanute FFA. Jarrett’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, welding and training his horse Trinket.  Jarrett works at Walmart and also umpires recreational little league at Chanute. Jarrett enjoys spending time with his horse, teaching young kids about agriculture and spending time with family and friends. When asked what he wants to do when he grows up. Jarrett said he wants to get his teaching degree at Kansas State University, he wants to teach Agricultural Education and agricultural welding. He also plans to open his own horse training facility. 

Braiden Wariax-

  •  is the 14 year old son of James and Erica Warriaxe of Chanute,     Kansas. Braiden is an 8th grade student at Royster Middles School. He is active in 4-H and part of the Royster Rockets Football Team. Braiden also enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time at In The Wind Acres Riding Stable and being active with their horses. Braiden is Constantly checking online to see what horses need saved from euthanization shelters. When asked about his future plans, Braiden stated that he wants a “hands-on” job. Something along the lines of mechanics or to be a veterinarian that specializes in Equine Sciences. He also wants a ranch with horses and maybe other livestock.

Emma Ehmke-

  •  is the 16 years old. The daughter of MIke & Pam Ehmke of Chnaute Kansas. Emma is a junior at Chanute High School. She has and is participating in Volleyball for 3 years, Softball for 3 years, Designing for Pay this year, and Yearbook for 3 years and is the chief in editor of the Yearbook this year. Emma’s Hobbies Include taking pictures, baking, hunting, fishing, riding horses and babysitting. Emma works at Poor Boys steakhouse and Umpires for the Chanute Recreation department in the summer. Emma enjoys being with family and friends. When asked what she wants to do when she grows up, Emma said Either being a photographer and Graphic Designer or a Baker in Chanute.

Maci Shaffer-

  • is the 18 year old daughter of Jessi Bunyard and Tyler Shafer of Fredonia KS. Maci is a 2019 graduate of Fredonia High School, and a freshman in college. Maci’s hobbies include riding horses, drawing, and watching movies. Maci also works at the sonic in Fredonia as a manager. When asked what she would like to do when she grows up Maci said “ I would like to open an animal sanctuary, for all of the love deprived animals in the world. We all deserve kindness.”

Ryan Arnold-

  • is a 3rd Grader at Humboldt Elementary. He is the oldest son of Doug & Julia Arnold. Ryan has two younger brothers Kale (7) & Emmett (4). Ryan has been riding horses since he was 1 ½ years old. He enjoys competing in shodeo’s,trail riding, riding 4-wheelers, and playing baseball. Ryan says when he grows up he wants to own a Rodeo and become a world renowned horse trainer like Clinton Anderson

Kinley Ohl-

  • Kinley Ohl is the 12 yrs old and is the daughter of Kenneth and Lori Ohl. Kinley is in 7th grade at Royster Middle School and participates in volleyball. Kinley is also a active member of Willing Workers 4-h club. Kinley has been riding horses since she was 5 yrs old and  every chance she gets she wants to be riding. When Kinley was asked what she wants to do when she grows up she replied" I want to go to K- State and get my degree in Veterinary medicine"
