About Us
Our mission is to unite our members in fellowship around our common interest in the equine. Our focus is on education both within our group and within our community, with particular attention to the improvement of horsemanship achieved through humane care and training. We further exist to promote and encourage equine events, shows, and circuits at our facility and within the state of Kansas, all to the benefit and betterment of Chanute and the surrounding communities.

Alexis Martin -
- is the 5 year old daughter of Jenni and Philip Martin of Chanute KS. Alexis is the younger sister to Bennet Martin the Chanute Saddle Club 2018 rodeo prince. Alexis is a kindergartner at Chanute Elementary School. Alexis enjoys riding her horses Ace and Zena and Mrs. Tammy’s horse Dixie. She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, swimming, and exploring and at In the Wind Acres Riding Stable. Alexis also enjoys spending time with her family. Alexis enjoys dance and gymnastics. Alexis has a passion for all breeds of animals. When asked about future plans Alexis said she wants to be a veterinarian so she can take care of all the animals.
Layne Harbers -

Layne Harbers is the 13 year old daughter of Alan & Tracy Harbers of Cherryvale and mother Amanda of Fall River, KS. Layne attends the Cherryvale Middle High School and is currently in the 8th grade. Layne has participated in volleyball, softball, wrestling, band and Kay Club during school. This is Layne's first year participating in Saddle Club. Layne has found a new love for horses & she has chosen to dedicate her time to the family horse "Boogie" while continuing with Saddle Club. Layne is committed to more learning & training in order to reach her goal of becoming a barrel racer while moving towards her plans to become a veterinarian and specializing in large animals.
Braiden Warriax-
- is the 15 year old son of James and Erica Warriax of Chanute, Kansas. Braiden is a freshman at Chanute HighSchool. He is active in 4-H, Cross Country, Wrestling, and track. Braiden also enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time at his biological dads ranch helping with his wild array of stock from water buffalo to busking bulls and horses. Braiden is Constantly checking online to see what horses need saved from euthanization shelters. When asked about his future plans, Braiden stated that he wants a “hands-on” job. Something along the lines of mechanics or to be a veterinarian that specializes in Equine Sciences. He also wants a ranch with horses and maybe other livestock.
Wyatt Boss -
- is the 8 year old son of Abby and Jesse boss of Fredonia Kansas. Wyatt is the oldest of 3 brothers. Wyatt is a 3rd Grader at Boss Academy. Wyatt enjoys riding horses, fishing, showing in 4-H, and shooting guns. Wyatt also Competes in wrestling, football, and baseball as well as competing in the Mid Eastern Kansas Horse Show Association and helping his family work cattle when his school work is done. Wyatt loves showing cattle in 4-H and has started keeping back Heifers for his future cow herd. Wyatt says when he grows up he wants his own ranch, where he can raise ranch horses, beef cows, and stock dogs.
