Elizabeth Thompson At 18, Liz Thompson, daughter of Dustin Thompson and Mary Splechter, is pioneering her family's legacy in the rodeo arena. Her fervent dedication to preserving Western heritage and agricultural practices shines through her participation in rodeo events such as competing in the barrel racing, riding on the Heartland Twisters drill team, and queening. Miss Liz is a recent graduate of Chanute High School, and is now furthering her education at Fort Scott Community College. As a member of the college's rodeo team, she competes in barrel racing.
