Huge Thank You To our 2022 Rodeo Royalty Sponsor:

Queen: Maggie Hood
Maggie Hood is the 14 year old daughter of Victor & Janalin Hood. She is homeschooled here in Chanute, Ks. Maggie is competing this year with her gelding Sterling. Maggie is the secretary of her local 4-H club & rides under the instruction of Knapp Performance Horses. Maggie says her biggest passions are “ western fashion/modeling & learning as much about riding, roping, & training horses as she can.” Maggie also enjoys playing fiddle, singing, leather tooling, & reading classic books. In the future Maggie hopes to obtain her bachelors in Ag. marketing & journalism & then pursue becoming a Down Under Method ambassador. Maggie says “ I hope to use my education & passion for sharing & teaching to give back by offering riding lessons & teaching the next generation of Rodeo Queens.” When asked why she ran for 2022 Chanute Rodeo Queen Maggie said “I have a God-lit fire to promote & Market the western lifestyle & rodeo heritage. I am outgoing, love public speaking & want to create a ripple effect of inspiration to all whom I meet. If I were to be the 2022 Bit & Spur Rodeo Queen I would use the Experience gained to pave the path towards my future rodeo queening goals which include reigning as Miss Rodeo Kansas.”
